About

Why Mdfoundry exists

If you work with AI, you write a lot of prompts — system prompts, agent instructions, specs, drafts. The good ones get reinvented in every chat and then lost. There's no shared, native home for them.

Mdfoundry is the calm, native answer: a Mac app for the community's prompt library. Browse and search it, read every prompt in source or rendered, fork the good ones into your own, and publish yours back. It's offline-ready, so your library opens instantly — even without Wi-Fi.

The wedge is simple: a native home for AI prompts, and a friendly place for anyone whose first .md arrived from a chatbot. The reading surface is editorial — a prompt should read like an edited manuscript, not a build log.

Who's building it

Mdfoundry is a small, independent project. It's early: the web community and prompt wizard are live, the Mac app is out, and the library is just starting to fill in. If that sounds like your kind of tool, the best way to help is to use it — publish a prompt, fork one, and tell us what's missing.
